Bella Varon

Isabella Varon is a dancer and dance educator based in Detroit, Michigan. She is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a concentration in Ballet.
During her classical studies at Marymount, under the direction of Katie Langan, Isabella performed several new choreographic works and repertoire by artists Kyle Abraham, Adam Barruch, Michael Thomas, Breton Tyner-Bryan, John Heginbotham, and Nancy Lushington. Her additional summer training includes Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, American Ballet Theatre, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and SpringboardX.
In addition to performance, Isabella has a passion for dance teaching and interdisciplinary dance studies. She is the Assistant Artistic Director of Young Dancers Initiative, and the Assistant Company Director at Viva Dance Co. where she leads weekly ballet, contemporary, composition, and improvisation classes. Additionally, she is on faculty at RELEASE Detroit, and frequently guest-instructs across various dance programs in Metro-Detroit. She has also performed as a company member with Artlab J at venues such as the Detroit Institute of Art’s Detroit Dance City Festival, Spread Arts, and Andy Arts Center.
